The Brazil Model United Nations (BRAMUN) is one of Brazil’s largest and most established Model United Nations conferences, bringing together high school students from across the country for an immersive experience in international diplomacy. Held annually since 2002, BRAMUN welcomes more than 400 students from over 20 schools, fostering academic excellence, leadership, and cross-cultural dialogue.
Held at Salvador, Bahia, the conference brings together hundreds of young delegates to debate some of the world’s most pressing political, social, economic, and humanitarian challenges. Throughout the conference, students take on the roles of diplomats, political leaders, and representatives of countries and international organizations, developing their skills in public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, consensus-building, and international policymaking.
Our program was carefully designed to strengthen the core academic skills required for success at international conferences, offering everything from high-performance Model UN strategies to a comprehensive introduction to international debate and parliamentary procedure.
Recently, MoruMUN was recognized as the Best Independent Delegation at Yale Model United Nations Brazil (YMUN Brazil), highlighting the excellence of our preparation and the outstanding performance of our delegates and advisors.
Being part of MoruMUN means joining a delegation that has earned more than 75 awards at international Ivy League conferences, with outstanding results at renowned simulations such as Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN), Yale Model United Nations (YMUN), Princeton Model United Nations Conference (PMUNC), Cornell Model United Nations Conference (CMUNC), and HACIA Democracy. Beyond competitive achievements, our members have also distinguished themselves through institutional leadership, contributing on more than seven occasions to the organization of Harvard- and Yale-affiliated conferences in roles such as Assistants Directors, Assistants of Secretary-General, and Ambassadors.
